Each team will receive five answer sheets (one for each round).

There will be a total of five rounds consisting of ten questions each. Hosts will lead each round, with the exception of the picture round. The picture round will be given out at 9PM and will be collected at the end of the 4th round. Teams can work on this round from the time it is handed out until the time it is collected.

Answer sheets will be collected at the end of each round and tallied by the hosts. One point will be awarded for each correct answer.

At the end of all five rounds the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be awarded their respective prizes.*

*Prizes are subject to change weekly; any changes made will be posted prior to sign-ups that week. One prize will be awarded per team.

Do you guys ever have a Trivia Night at Bobby G’s?

Q: Do you deliver? back to top
A: Unfortunately, at this time we do not deliver. Since parking is at a premium here, you can call in advance for an order, give us your credit card over the phone, and we can meet you at the curb with your order. That makes it a bit easier for our customers to get take-out.

Q: Is all your food organic? back to top
A: We wish we could buy all our ingredients from organic sources, but it’s pretty much impossible. Whenever we can, we use organic ingredients. Sometimes we can’t get organic ingredients because of availability and sometimes because of very high cost. We are a pizzeria and because of that we can’t increase our prices to cover our costs for 100% organic ingredients.

We do always have a lot of organic items such as our organic crust, organic marinara, baby greens, arugula, ice cream, coffee, tea, etc. Whenever possible we use organic herbs, fresh tomatoes, and other veggies. During the summer months, much of what we get is organic from local farmers. We do everything we can to buy local. You should too.

Q: Where do you buy your food? back to top
A: In our About Us section we have a sub-section called Food Sources. This is where we list our vendors and ingredients.

Q: What’s the difference between your NY Style and Signature Pizzas? back to top
A: Our NY Style pizzas and the Signature pies are similar in that they have the same organic crust and are both thin-crustpizzas. The difference is that for the Signature pies we use fresh whole milk mozzarella instead of the drier, diced mozzarella/provolone blend used on the NY style pies.

So, really they are quite the same but we just use the two terms to differentiate between the two since in Italy most pizzas are made with either a fresh whole milk mozzarella or a Mozzarella de Bufalo (fresh mozzarella made from water buffalo milk).

Q: Do you sell slices? back to top
A: Yes we do. We always have a cheese pie and pepperoni pie available for slices. You can put any of our many toppings on those slices. It usually takes a couple of minutes to reheat in the oven but when it comes out it’s nice and crispy.

We do NOT have slices for our signature pies since we have so many and they all use the more expensive fresh whole milk mozzarella. We do have a lot of toppings, though, and you can approximate many of our signature pies with these toppings.

Q: Do you accommodate vegans in your restaurant? back to top
A: Absolutely. We have many vegan options including vegan salad dressings (including our organic Vaesar dressing), our own organic house-made soy cheese (Fauxmage) vegan ravioli, vegan desserts, and more.

Q: Do you have any gluten-free items? back to top
A: We have gluten-free 12” pizzas, gluten-free beer, and a number of other items that do not contain gluten. The gluten-free crust comes from Mariposa Bakery in Oakland and is also vegan. Although we have these gluten-free items, since we are a pizzeria that uses a lot of flour, we cannot guarantee a 100% gluten-free environment. We do the best we can, however, to keep gluten-free items from being contaminated with flour or other sources of gluten. If you are an extremely sensitive celiac, please inform us and we’ll do everything we can to see that your pizza is a gluten-free as possible by cleaning out the oven and using a freshly washed screen before making your pizza. Again, though, we cannot guarantee a 100% gluten-free environment.

Q: When do you have music at Bobby G’s? back to top
A: We usually have music every Saturday night from 8:30-11pm. We also have an excellent Open Mic on Tuesday nights from 8:30-10:30pm. The Queen of Boogie Woogie, Wendy DeWitt hosts this fun open mic event every Tuesday night. Please check our calendar for any information on music.

Q: Is Bobby G’s a green business? back to top
A: Yes, we were certified as an Alameda County Green Business in July of 2007. It’s fun and fairly easy.

Q: Do you guys ever show boxing, MMA, or UFC fights? back to top
A: No, sorry. We’re pretty much a family-friendly restaurant so we don’t show the fights. We do, however, show LOTS of sports! Also, any pay-per-view events usually cost restaurants thousands of dollars just to show and it’s impossible to recoup those charges.

Q: Do you guys show sporting events on your flatscreen TVs? back to top
A: Yes we do. We show lots and lots of sports including baseball, football, basketball, hockey, soccer, and we’ve even shown a bit of rugby and Aussie rules football.

Q: Do you take reservations? back to top
A: Yes, we do. We will hold reservations for 15-20 minutes so if you make one, please show up on time or call us to say you’re running late.

Q: Are you a chain restaurant? back to top
A: Nope. We’re a locally owned and operated restaurant.

Q: If I sign up for your mailing list will you sell my name and contact info to somebody? back to top
A: Not a chance. We don’t want our names sold so we won’t sell yours. Your secret is safe with us. We’ll just email when we have something reasonably important to tell you.

Q: Do you guys ever have a Trivia Night at Bobby G’s? back to top
A: Yep. We’re just starting one on Wednesday nights from 9pm-11pm. Check out our flyer (PDF) or check out the Trivia section!

We love our music at Bobby G's Pizzeria so every Saturday night (just about) we have great, local musicians playing the best blues, jazz, bluegrass, and folk music around. We now also have a great Tuesday night Open Mic we call Acoustic Tuesdays.

If you’re interested in playing at Bobby G’s, please contact us at music@bobbygspizzeria.com. We get a ton of CDs and emails from musicians so sometimes it’s a bit too overwhelming and we end up not answering them all. If you really want to play here, you’ll just have to persevere and contact us more than once.

We apologize in advance if we don’t answer your email right away. But we also thank you for your interest.

Since we cannot sell tickets to any show, we have a very strict budget for bands. We usually pay the bands, put out a tip jar, and feed the band members a reasonable amount of food.

We have our own PA but all bands need to bring their own mics, stands, and cables. We also have an acoustic piano that can be used for shows.

If after reading this you are still interested in playing here, please shoot us an email. Please do NOT call because our staff will just take a message and I probably won’t be able to call you back due to the high volume of calls we get. Email is your best and only real bet. Sorry about that folks.

We worked with the Bay Area Green Business Program to implement energy efficient appliances and lighting, water conservation techniques, and recycling. Through our aggressive recycling efforts alone, we are proud to report that our total waste production is now less than that of a standard family household. We were granted official certification in the Bay Area Green Business Program in July 2007, but we remain committed to finding more ways to reduce our environmental impact.

We support sustainable farming and fair trade coffee, supporting the environment and people’s right to make a fair living wage in communities around the world. We are committed to making sustainable and eco-friendly choices whenever possible in our business.

We support local non-profits and schools and applaud the great work they do for our communities. In the time we have been open for business, we have donated generously to schools, non-profits, and the homeless.

Our dining room is available for meetings, study groups, social gatherings, or fundraising events. We offer a comfortable dining atmosphere, free wireless internet access, and a large LCD monitor that you can easily plug your laptop computer into. If you are a local non-profit, school, or student group in need of any of these services, please contact us at info@BobbyGsPizzeria.com for more information.

Probably, but I doubt it’s legal. For my money, nothing satisfies the taste buds like a hot, handmade pizza washed down with a cold craft-made brew.”

11.04.2007 – PR.com – Bobby G’s Pizzeria “is the first retail establishment in Berkeley, and one of the first in the country, to sell what many consider to be the hottest, or hippest drink on the planet – Bionade organic sodas. Created in Germany, these organic sodas are a huge hit in Europe. Now, after being written up in Time Magazine (Jan. 22, 2007), Bionade is poised to take the U.S. by storm.”
