Uh, no.  At Bobby G’s Pizzeria, while we consider ourselves partially a sports bar, we never show combat sports.  While we show a lot of hard fought sports such as football, soccer, basketball, and that famous contact sport golf, we will not show any boxing, MMA, UFC, etc.

There are a couple of reasons for this.  The main one is that we are considered a family friendly restaurant and we don’t want a lot of people screaming, “kill him” while watching a fight.  Another reason is that many of the top fights are pay-per-view and virtually any restaurant or bar that wants to show one of these fights will have to pay, usually a minimum of $1500, just to show it.

Because of the cost, many true sports bars won’t even show these expensive fights unless they can charge $20 or $30 per head.
